About the work

This pair of paintings records Mount Zion from my own vantage point, looking across at it from the Abu Tor neighbourhood. The larger work takes in the scene as a striking close-up, while the smaller one moves in further still, to an intimate, precise scene within it. Two complementary works that invite you to move between the wide view and the small, moving details of the mountain.

Questions and answers

Prints are made by a professional fine-art print lab, on the surface you choose: Photo Lustre: A lustre finish with a soft sheen that cuts glare. Colours stay vivid and the finest brushstrokes stay crisp. Works in almost any light. Fine Art Matte: Archival fine-art paper with a matte surface and no glare at all. The closest to a watercolour on paper: transparent washes and soft tones stay soft. Our recommendation for watercolour prints. Canvas Wrap: Canvas printed and stretched over a wooden stretcher frame, ready to hang, with no frame or glass needed. It adds texture and depth to the painting.
